The Box Feeder is a core piece of equipment in brick production lines, designed for uniform, continuous, and metered feeding of raw materials. It is ideally suited for handling materials with a moisture content not exceeding 20%, including clay, pulverized coal ash, shale, coal gangue, slurry, and other loose or fragmented materials. The feeder ensures a steady and even flow of material from the storage hopper to downstream processing equipment, effectively preventing blockages at the crusher inlet and guaranteeing consistent production quality.
The GD65 model features an all‑steel, heavy‑duty construction that provides excellent rigidity and durability, even under harsh working conditions. It is an indispensable component for automated brickmaking plants, offering reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements. With its large storage capacity inside the box, the feeder also acts as a buffer, ensuring continuous operation even when upstream feeding is temporarily interrupted.

The box feeder operates by driving a conveying belt continuously through an electric motor, via a transmission system consisting of V‑belts, a reducer, and couplings. Material is loaded into the box from the feed end and is carried forward by the moving belt, then discharged evenly from the outlet. The feed rate can be conveniently adjusted in two ways: by altering the height of the gate plate (which controls the material cross‑section on the belt), or by varying the running speed of the belt through the frequency controller (if equipped). This dual adjustment capability allows precise proportioning of plastic materials and internal fuel components, ensuring optimal mix consistency for brick forming.

The GD65 box feeder consists of the following key assemblies:
1. Material Box (Hopper): A large‑volume storage chamber that holds a buffer stock of raw materials, ensuring continuous feeding even when upstream supply fluctuates. The inner walls are designed with an optimal angle to promote material flow and prevent bridging.
2. Conveying Mechanism: A heavy‑duty rubber belt that carries the material from the inlet to the outlet.
3. Transmission System: Comprising a high‑efficiency electric motor (4 kW), a helical‑bevel gear reducer, a flexible coupling, and a drive drum with lagging for increased friction. All components are selected for long service life and low noise operation.
4. Adjustment Mechanism: A manually or electrically operated gate plate positioned at the discharge end. By raising or lowering the gate, the effective material height on the belt is changed, allowing fine‑tuning of the feed rate.
5. Frame and Base: An all‑welded steel structure, stress‑relieved and precision‑machined to ensure accurate alignment of all rotating parts. The base is provided with anchor bolt holes for secure installation.
6. Idler Rollers and Drums: High‑precision rollers with sealed bearings reduce friction and extend belt life. The tail drum is equipped with a screw‑type take‑up unit for easy belt tensioning.
